Brand film for JEK Partners, a wealth-management firm operating on a single organizing principle: advice before investments. Built for entrepreneurs facing major life transitions — business exits, retirement, and multi-generational legacy — where the industry's product-first approach falls short. Delivered as a warm, emotive lifestyle narrative for web and prospect outreach. Written, produced, directed, and edited by Chris.
What we made
JEK Partners operates on a single organizing principle: advice before investments. The audience is entrepreneurs facing major life pivots — business exits after twenty years of work, three-decade retirements, multi-generational legacy planning. The brief was to make a brand film that would reject the industry's product-first shorthand and center the human decision instead.
Advice before investments.
From the film
How we made it
We approached the piece as a warm, human-centered lifestyle commercial: solo piano and elegant orchestral strings, sun-dappled estate parks, unhurried private-office intimacy. No sales brochures, no flashing screens — just a leather-bound notebook, a fountain pen, and an advisor who listens. The 2:00 runtime is paced for emotional resonance rather than information density; the film's tone is what does the persuading.
Who it speaks to
JEK Partners uses the film at the front of its web presence and in introductions to entrepreneurs at life-transition inflection points. The audience for this film is the client who has been sold to too many times and is looking for something that reads as counsel rather than pitch. The tagline — advice before investments — captures the entire proposition in three words.
